CMS v.3 implemented in the court
The
development of the Court Case Management System (CMS) began in 2007, while its
application in all courts was implemented by the end of 2009. Court presidents
and judges, in the initial phase of application, emphasized that its
application enabled a better organization of work, not only for judges, but
also for other employees, which accelerated the work of the courts and the
handling of cases. In this way, the parties were able to get information faster
about the state of their cases that are pending before the courts.
The
Information and Communication Technology Department of the Secretariat of the
High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH)
worked on the development of a more advanced version of CMS and TCMS, which
will meet the growing needs of judicial institutions and citizens in BiH.
The
new version of the CMS/TCMS system is a web application developed using the
latest technologies, respecting the standards and best practices of software
development. All segments of the new web application are simpler and faster,
and the application provides a unique and practical user experience. In terms
of security, the new version of CMS/TCMS has been developed respecting the
highest security aspects. The transition to new technologies facilitates the
future processes of upgrading, developing and improving this system, which was
very difficult to do with the outdated technology of the current version.
HJPC BiH passed the Decision on the implementation of the new generation Court and Prosecutors' Offices Case Management System (CMS/TCMS) v.3, which is implemented within the framework of the Project "EU support for judicial system reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina" - IPA 2019 - Phase II.
In accordance with the implementation schedule drawn up by the ICT Department, the implementation took place in the Cantonal Court in Livno in the period from 2nd to 4th April 2024 via the WebEx platform.
